William (Willie) McFadden

I was so sorry to hear of Liam's passing. He was a lifelong neighbour of my parents (Tommy and Dorothy Dowling). Mam died only a few short weeks before Liam, a sad time for Glenarriff Road. My sincere condolences to you all at this sad time.

I am very sorry to hear of the passing of Willie. He was a great gentleman. I travelled with him and his friends in the Sports Association in the Fire Brigade, to Gibralta. I have many happy memories of the trip. Condolences to his dear wife and family. May he rest in peace.

It is with the greatest sorrow - that I heard today of the passing of a really lovely man - Retired Fire Officer - Willie McFadden - Dublin Fire Brigade - I first met Willie on my first day in the Fire Brigade - he was standing in the yard of Tara Street Fire Headquarters with a group of fellow Firefighters - watching the new batch of recruits - they were there to give us some moral support and advice - over the years - if you need - help - support - advice or just a chat - you could go to Willie - Sleep tight Willie - your shift is over - May you Rest In Peace 🙏 - your old mate Buzzer

A lovely man who always spoke and had a bit of banter with ye . Proud of his people and family and we will miss him even if I could never get pass the front door when he was watching Pointless in the evening . Rest in peace buddy.
