We went to school together in the old school and every time I visited Kilfenora I’d be delighted to bump into Willie and we’d reminisce on growing up in the village. We had a brief chat on St. Patrick’s Day after Mass. Little did I think it would be our last. RIP Willie.

Willie always made time for a chat,being a shrewd publican and farmer,in the heart of the village.I have happy memories of calling to his pub,with my late uncle Martin McNamara,Ballybreen.After happy banter,I was well versed re farming and marts in Kilfenora!
