Our deepest condolences to the O'Reilly family on your sad loss. We feel so sad to see our lovely neighbour and friend leave us. Willie was such a wonderful gentleman with a lovely and gentle heart. We will always remember the Friday evening cards games and fun which spanned more than 25 years. Rest in peace Willie.

A very loveable gentleman I enjoyed his company very much during our time together in Dublin bus ..Willie left me with many a smile on my face .. Willie you will be sadly missed rest in peace

So sorry to hear of Willie's passing. We got to know him so well when he moved into Portumna. Máirín and I enjoyed his stories, memories and chats outside his new home at Portumna Retirement Village. As a patient he was a pleasure to look after and we missed seeing him in his recent less healthy times.

Willie your were such a beautiful man, and I will always remember you for the very few times I met you, they were always good. Affable and of such few words you always had an impact. Your visit with my dad,his brother John, when close to his own passing was special. The conversation they had was moving I am grateful of having been a witness of it. When they spoke of the dog they accidently shot as kids is unforgettable. God love you and I hope a child is born on the day of your passing who has your exact spirit

I’m very sorry to learn this. He was a character. I remember an occasion when I was shyly trying to get a bar man’s attention to order a round. The bar was a couple customers deep. Willie stepped right up and bellowed his order (which included one for me) at the bar man and it was like the bar man dropped every thing else and got to Willie’s round first.

I was saddened to hear of the passing of Willie. A gentleman and a character. A great neighbour to those living in Lowertown for many years. RIP Willie.

I am so sorry to hear of Willie's passing. He was an absolute gentleman and my mother's (Gretta Abberton) cousin. My parents loved him dearly and looked forward to his visits.
