Willie died in the Lord, for which he is blessed.

Willie was a good man, and the goodness of God dwelled in him.

He let that goodness shine forth in all areas of his life, which was evident to everyone who met him.

He meets the Lord with hands laden with good deeds.

As Mons. O' Driscoll said at his funeral Mass, "Willie was a modern day missionary."
His faithfulness to spending time with Jesus in prayer is an inspiration to me and to many others.

My sincere condolences to Willie's family, I am saddened to hear of Willie's sudden passing.
I was very fortunate to have worked with Willie from 1979 to 1982 on Shift A in Penn Chemicals. It was early in my career and I learnt soo much from Willie, both Technically and people Management, even though I cannot recall meeting Willie since 1982, his support and fatherly figure role when we worked together left a lasting impression on me. Willie may you now rest in peace RIP.

My condolences to The Walsh Family. I had the pleasure of meeting Willie during our respective youth football clubs exchange visits. I found him to be warm, welcoming, friendly and helpful in everything we tried to acheve together. He will be sadly missed by his family, the wider community of Carrigaline FC and those of us that were fortunate enough to meet him here in Leighton Buzzard.

Willie always had words of wisdom, a witty story, or was 'asking' kids to stop swinging on the crossbar in his own special way. We always had a laugh when we often met over the 15 years I knew him, and that's what we will miss the most.
