William (Willy) Crowley

Willy was a man of many interests and several talents. His drive, commitment and determination to get things done for his town and community was admirable. Always a pleasure to share time with him. Ennis has lost one of its finest. My sincere sympathy to his family.

We are very saddened to hear about the loss of our dear friend Willy. Willy was a founding member of Cloughleigh Drama Group and appeared on stage for 3 productions with the group. He had a larger than life personality, brilliant sense of humor and had a story for every occasion. His guidance, advice and patience during our productions was appreciated by every cast member. We will miss you Willy. RIP. We will have a minute silence at our upcoming production to honour Willy's memory and dedication to our group over the last number of years.

So sorry to hear of Willy's passing, I have many fond memories of dealing with him when he was a rep for James McMahon and later when he set up his own Hardwood business in Clare. He was always a joy, if I never bought anything he was worth the trip for the company.

Sorry to hear this. I knew William from coming into O'Dowds when I worked there. He was always very pleasant, polite and loved a bit of a chat. He was one of the faces you'd come to remember and be happy to see coming.

I first got to know Willie when we were volunteers at the bingo in chapel lane and had known that he was very much involved in drama and with his expertise would he get involved in setting up a drama group in Cloughleigh in which he did without hesitation. Mairead and Regina, I am so sorry to hear of Willie's passing. He was a great neighbour and always so kind. Anytime I met him he always stopped for the chats and spoke lovingly of his grandchildren. In recent years he showed his kindness to my own girls when he surprised them by putting a word in with Santa, who sent them personal letters from the North Pole on Willie's say so. He will be sorely missed. May he rest in peace.
