What a lovely man, quiet, unassuming, yet exuding gentleness and kindness. A very long life well lived in a beautiful family probably makes his parting even harder, leaving a vacant place that can never be filled. I had the honour of being an altar boy at their wedding and the 2 halfcrowns for each altar boy was like winning the lottery..around 1962, I think. Take your seat in the best part of Heaven now, Willie..it's one that's been reserved and kept warm for you for a long, long time. You've earned it. Ar dheis de go raibh a anam.
