Very sorry to learn of Wolfgang's passing, may he rest in peace. Sincere sympathy to Wolfgang's family and close friends. He was a true gentleman and always a pleasure to meet and to work for.

Wolfgang was a colleague of mine in DIT for years. Wolfgang made a great contribution to teaching but he also played a massive and pioneering role in Irish and European media research. It was a pleasure to work with him.

I had the pleasure of getting to know Wolfgang over the last few years. We spent some lovely evenings having chats and laughs . Just recently we sat in front of your lovely fire chatting about holidaying in Jamaica!! You had a zest for life and never failed to suprise me with stories about your travels and adventures in life. Your studies and work years and marriage with the love of your life Ros. A life well lived x

He was an incredibly witty, smart and sensitive man. He was a devoted husband to Ros and is happily in her arms now.

We were deeply saddened to hear of Wolfgang’s passing. We had the privilege of knowing him for many years—first as a wonderful lecturer, and later as a valued colleague. His quiet nature belied a razor-sharp intellect, allied to an unwavering commitment to fairness and equality for all.

Perhaps his greatest legacy lies in the way he encouraged so many of us to develop the confidence to question, without fear, any situation in which power appeared to be unfairly distributed. He empowered us to ask the hard questions in all situations and for that, we will always be grateful.

I met Wolfgang when I joined the East Wicklow Branch MS committee and spent a little time with him when his lovely wife Roslyn was ill. Condolences to all who knew and loved him. Thinking of ye in the coming days.

I was so sorry to hear this sad news. Wolfgang was (it is difficult to speak of him in the past tense) a lovely, kind, highly intelligent man with a great sense of humour. He was also deeply in love with Roslyn, who sadly left us first. I got to know Wolfgang as a member of the committee of the MS Ireland East Wicklow Branch for many years. He was a tireless supporter both of the branch and of the many people living with MS in Co. Wicklow. I will miss you, Wolfgang. My deepest sympathies to your family and close friends.
