Dear Liz and Sean, our deepest sympathies to you and to Mike, Gary, Paul, Michelle and to your shared extended families on the very sad loss of your beloved Yvonne.

My abiding memory of Yvonne is as a young woman running barefoot and laughing gaily as she out ran and out classed every other competitor in the Mothers Race during the Caherdavin heats for the Limerick Community Games, showing off that characteristic athletic flair that was such a hallmark of your talented family. Throughout her life, Yvonne remained anchored in the community of Caherdavin which her parents, John and Carmel, along with many others, including the late Colm Mooney and my own folks, John and Nuala, played such a pivotal role in founding over 50 years ago. And besides being a great support to John and Carmel in their later years, Yvonne herself contributed in so many ways to maintaining that sense of neighbourliness, friendliness and community spirit that personifies Caherdavin to this day.

Recalling shared happy times growing up next door to you on Inagh Drive and keeping you all in our thoughts and prayers today as Yvonne is laid to rest.
