We are all so deeply saddened at the Law Society of Ireland to hear of our dear friend and colleague Yvonne McMahon’s passing.
Yvonne has been a valued member of our team since 1993 and the news of her passing has come as a great shock to all of Yvonne’s colleagues but in particular to her close friends, of which there were many, in the Society.
I knew Yvonne as a kind, thoughtful and gentle lady who was a pleasure to work with. She will be sadly missed.
Today we have flown the flag at half-mast at Blackhall Place for Yvonne.
Our thoughts and prayers are with Yvonne’s family and close friends at this time.

The enduring thought I have about Yvonne is that she was a gentle woman, unassuming and kind, when I started working in the Law Society on my way home I would meet her on the bus occasionally and she would spend the few minutes chatting with me about this and that until I got to my stop, and over the years getting to know her a bit more I can only say that it was a pleasure working with her, she will be greatly missed and I offer my condolences to her family and friends at this time.
