Connie McGrath

It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden but peaceful passing of Connie McGrath, Newtown East, Bantry on June 14th 2021 at his home. Predeceased by his parents Patrick and Ellen, his sister Mary, sister-in-law Ena, brothers-in-law Austin, John, George and Sean.

Sadly missed by his devoted wife Margaret (née O’Mahony), loving daughters Helena (O’Donovan), Margie (McSweeney), and Caroline (O’Connell),  brother Joe, sister Kitty, sons-in-law, Mike, John and Kevin, adored grandchildren, Shane, Megan, Rachel, Dara, Ryan, Oran, Marc, Aoibhinn, and Cian, nephews Patrick and Tony, sisters-in-law Esther and Eileen, Nuala, Belinda, Pat and Martin, neighbours and a wide circle of friends.

May he rest in peace.

Funeral will take place in accordance with Government and HSE guidelines on public gatherings.

House Private.

Connie’s Funeral cortege will leave his home on Friday June 18th at 12 noon approx. (via Glengarriff Road, Wolfe Tone Square and New Street)  for a private Requiem Mass at 1pm at St Finbarr’s Church Bantry, (live streamed on http://bantryparish.ie/) followed by burial at the Abbey Cemetery. Family flowers only, donations in lieu, if desired, to The Friends of Bantry General Hospital.
