Cora Teresa McGovern
(née Gorman)

Cora Teresa (née Gorman) McGovern, of Walpole, Massachusetts, USA died peacefully on February 9th at her home with her beloved family beside her. She was the wife of Richard J. McGovern for the past 46 years. 

Formerly of Corbetstown, Killucan, County Westmeath (born June 13, 1952) the daughter of the late Patrick and Elizabeth (née D’Arcy). Cora was raised in Ireland and had lived in Walpole since 1973. 

In addition to her husband, she is survived by her children, Kathleen Foley and her husband Kevin, Joseph McGovern, Richard McGovern and his wife Suzanne and Jessica McGovern and her fiancé Scott Baldwin. Cora is also survived by her grandchildren, Sean, Alex, Brooke, Trenton, Nicholas, Abigail and Jace. 

Sadly missed by her loving brothers and sisters, Stephen Gorman, Maria Byrne, Annette Burke, Agnes Gorman, Nuala Gorman, Sean Gorman and Stephanie Bray. She was the sister of the late Frank Gorman.

Memorial mass will be offered up for Cora this Wednesday (3rd May)  at 11am in St. Brigid’s Church, Raharney followed by interment of her ashes in Rathwire Cemetery.
