Cormac O'Broin

Rathfarnham, Dublin

Cormac O'Broin (Rathfarnham, Dublin 14) Cormac passed peacefully at his home on the 28th of March 2026, eve of his 101st birthday. Predeceased by his wife Aileen, daughter Gráinne, sisters Aidín, Nóirín, Gráinne and brothers Diarmuid and Gearóid.

 

Loving father of Aodhagán, Niamh, Gráinne, Eimear, Orla, Darach, Triona, Cóilín, Eoin, Caoimhe, Laoise, Blánaid and Cormac. Adored Father, Grandfather and Great-Grandfather, Cormac will be very sadly missed by his loving family, sons-in-law and daughters-in-law, his thirty five grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren, his sisters Breeda, Fionnuala and Maeve, sisters-in-law Bernadette and Gráinne, relatives, neighbours and many friends.

 

Special thanks to his carer and pal Sharon, his former carer Lena and all his carers, in particular the Home Care Team from Our Lady’s Hospice, Harold’s Cross, for their excellent support.

Reposing at the Ruah Centre, Ballyroan this Wednesday evening (1st April) from 4.30pm to 6.30pm. Funeral Service will take place at 10am on Thursday morning (2nd April) in the Church of The Holy Spirit, Ballyroan, followed by burial in Kilmashogue Cemetery, Rathfarnham.
