Cyril Matthews

The death has occurred, in his 78th year, of Cyril Matthews, Mountainstown, Dunleer, peacefully at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital, Drogheda, surrounded by his family. Cyril, beloved husband of the late Mary (née Roe) and loving father of Alan, Jean-Marie, Graham, Mark and Emma. Predeceased by his parents Matthew and Mary, brothers Fintan, Oliver and Kieran, sisters Marie and Cecilia and daughter Mary. Cyril will be sadly missed by his sons, daughters, son-in-law Warren, daughters-in-law Tracey, Edel and Shauna, brothers Liam, Paddy and Fr. Jimmy, sisters Angela and Geraldine, his adored grandchildren Shauna, James, Aimee, Ella, Dylan, Sophia, Cillian, Liam, Alex and Abby, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, relatives, neighbours and his many friends.

Cyril will repose at Connor’s Funeral Home, Dunleer (A92 V38H) on Tuesday from 2pm until 8pm. Funeral Mass on Wednesday in Saint Brigid’s Church, Dunleer at 12 noon, which can be viewed live at https://www.dunleerparish.ie/2015/06/st-brigids-church-tv/. Burial afterwards in Mosstown Cemetery.
