The death has occurred of
Damien Byrne
Byrne, Damien (Jake) – 5th February 2026 (Malahide and formerly of Raheny & An Post). Peacefully, surrounded by his loving family and in the wonderful care of the staff at Talbot Lodge Nursing Home. Beloved husband of Caitríona and loving dad to Janette and Philip. Predeceased by his parents Bill and Sheelah, brother Alan and brother-in-law Michael. Damien will be very sadly missed by his wife, son and daughter, son-in-law Ray, daughter-in-law Eimear, adored grandchildren Chloe, Luke and Seán, brothers Billy, Ray and Philip, sister Joyce, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, extended family, friends, neighbours and of course his extensive football community North and South of the border.

Damien will be reposing at Staffords Funeral Home, Golf Links Road, Portmarnock on Wednesday afternoon 11th February from 2pm to 4pm. Removal on Thursday morning to the Church of the Sacred Heart, Seabury, Malahide arriving for Funeral Mass at 10am followed by burial in Balgriffin Cemetery.
