DAN McCARTHY

DAN McCARTHY (Kings Park, Killarney, Co. Kerry and formerly of Curragh Road, Turners Cross, Cork): On February 22nd 2026, unexpectedly, but peacefully, at his home, DAN (late General Manager, Scotts Hotel, Killarney). Dearly loved father of Shane and Grace, loving son of Peg (née Wallace) and the late Robert (Bob) and dear brother of Ger, Gene, Barry, Dave and Paul.

Sadly missed by his loving family, sisters-in-law Mary, Trish, Martina and Catherine, nephews, nieces, relatives, his long time colleagues and friends in Scotts Hotel, close neighbors and a large circle of friends.

May he rest in peace.

Reposing at O’Shea’s Funeral Home, Killarney (V93 KX61) on Wednesday (February 25th) from 4.30pm until 6pm

Requiem Mass on Thursday (February 26th) at 12 noon in Christ King Church, Turners Cross, Cork which will be live streamed HERE

Funeral afterwards to St James’ Cemetery, Chetwynd.

Dan’s family would like to thank the First Responders, Ambulance Crew, close neighbours in Kings Park and the management and staff in Scotts Hotel Killarney for all their help and support – their kindness and assistance will never be forgotten.
