Dan Thornton

The death has occurred of Dan Thornton, Drimnahoon, Rosscahill, Co. Galway. Passed away peacefully in his home, surrounded by his loving family, on Thursday the 12th of January 2023. Predeceased by his brothers Padraig, Jimmy, and his sister Margaret. Sadly missed by his loving wife Mary, sons Eugene, Kevin and Frank, and daughters-in-law Bridie, Mary and Noreen. Deeply mourned by his brothers Marcus (Clooniffe), Tommy (Australia) and sister Mary Ann Monaghan (Craughwell) and sisters-in-law Maura and Mary.  Sadly missed by his grandchildren Ian, Gary, Chloe, Tena, Laura, Shauna, and Stephen and his great-grandchildren Matteo, and Meadow, nieces, nephews, extended family, neighbours and friends.

Reposing at Aiseirí Funeral Home, Moycullen on the 13th of January from 5.30 with removal at 7pm to the Church of the Immaculate Heart of Mary, Killannin,(H91 R883).Requiem Mass will be celebrated on the 14th of January at 12 noon.  Burial afterwards in adjoining cemetery. Mass can be viewed  at https://mcnmedia.tv/camera/st-annins-church. House private. Family flowers only by request.  Donations, if desired, to Galway Hospice.
