Daniel Bernard [Bernie] O'Dowd

Bernie passed away suddenly on the 14th of February 2026.

Pre-deceased by his parents Jack and Hannah, his brother Billy, grandparents Bill and Maryanne Dowd and his mother-in-law Maryanne Mc Sweeney.

Bernie will be deeply missed and forever cherished by his wife Gobnait, son Billy, daughters Eva, Joanne, Trisha, Maryanne and Bernardine and their partners, his grandchildren Leah, Jack, Millie and Tadhg, sisters Mai and Alice, brother Jerry, brothers-in-law, cousins, nieces, nephews and his good neighbours.

Reposing at Eamon O’Connor’s Funeral Home, Firies on Thursday evening from 5.00 to 7.30PM. Funeral cortège for Bernie will arrive to St Gertrude’s Church, Firies on Friday morning at 10.50AM for Requiem Mass at 11.00AM. Burial will take place afterwards in Old Aghadoe Cemetery, Killarney.
