Daniel McCarthy

McCarthy, Daniel, Laurence Avenue, Maynooth and formerly of Bundoran, Co. Donegal, Newbridge, Co. Kildare, February 27th 2026 peacefully at The Residence Nursing Home, Maynooth, surrounded by his loving family. Pre-deceased by his loving wife Mary, parents Paddy and Mary, brothers Padraig and Declan and sister Kathleen. Deeply regretted and sadly missed by his children Ronan, Lorna and Donal, friend Pat, daughters-in-law Sam, Aline, Suzie and Mary, son-in-law Paul, adored grandchildren Jodie, Abi, Louis and Sophie, brothers Luke, Gerard, Paul and Mark, sisters Gaye, Betty and Mary, Aunt Monica, nieces, nephews, extended family and a large circle of friends. Danny was the much-loved Lead Singer with Fiddlers Green and will be fondly remembered for his music, voice and friendship by all who knew him.

Reposing at Oliver Reilly's Funeral Home, Leinster St., Maynooth (W23V99E) on Wednesday (March 4th) from 4pm - 8pm, with evening prayers at 7:30pm. Removal from the Funeral Home on Thursday morning (March 5th) at approx. 10.30am to arrive at St. Mary's Church, Maynooth for 11am Funeral Mass, followed by cremation in Newlands Cross Crematorium at approx. 1pm. Those who wish to leave a personal message/condolence for the family, please use the "condolences" section below.
