Daniel passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family, in the wonderful care of the staff in the Knock Ash Unit, St. Brendan’s Community Nursing Home, Loughrea, on Thursday 14th August 2025.

 

Predeceased by his parents Daniel and Bridie, grandchild Rebecca, brothers John and Michael, sisters Maureen and Annette.

 

A devoted husband and best friend to his wife Rita.

 

An adored father to his son Philip (Bedfordshire) and daughter Monica Gomm (Craughwell).

 

Daniel will be deeply mourned and sadly missed by Philip’s partner Becky, son-in-law Richard, grandchildren Kaitlyn, Ciara, Daniel, Lauren and Nathan, brother Brian, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, extended family, neighbours and friends.

 

Daniel will lie in repose in Kilboys Funeral Home, Loughrea (H62 KF62) on Friday 22nd August from 5pm to 7pm.

 

Daniel’s funeral cortege will arrive to St. Brendan’s Cathedral, Loughrea, on Saturday 23rd August for Requiem Mass at 12.30pm, followed by Cremation in Shannon Crematorium at 3pm.
