Darragh McCarthy

Darragh McCarthy, Carrigagour, Midleton. Unexpectedly and peacefully, surrounded by his loving family, in the exceptional care and compassion of the staff in the Intensive Care Unit at Cork University Hospital.

 

Darragh – adored son of Niall and Aoife (née O’Meara) and loving brother of Aisling and Niall Óg. Much-loved grandson of Marie and the late Flannan O’Meara, and the late Henry and Helen McCarthy (née Morrissey).

 

Sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his heartbroken mom, dad, sister, brother, loving girlfriend Sophie McCarthy Keane, nana, aunts Sinéad, Teresa and Deirdre, uncles Brian, Kevin, Paul, Fergal and Rowan, cousins, aunts-in-law, uncles-in-law, his wide circle of friends, including those from Midleton C.B.S., M.T.U., and Midleton G.A.A., as well as his work colleagues and the management team at Fota Resort and Golf Club.

Darragh will repose in O’Farrell’s Funeral Home, Riverside Way, Midleton, P25 X382, on Friday 14th March, from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm. Reception into Church of the Most Holy Rosary, Midleton, on Saturday 15th March, for 11:00 am Funeral Mass, followed by burial in the adjoining cemetery.
