Dave Fenton

Garda Dave Fenton, Reen, Derrymihan East, Castletownbere, Co. Cork and late of Castlecove, Co. Kerry unexpectedly on 23rd August 2024. Much loved and treasured husband of Laura, adored father of Emma, Mike and Ollie, cherished son of Anne and Michael, brother of Christopher and Joseph, sisters in-law Kate and Aoife, aunts and uncles Patsy and Neil, Teresa and Patrick, Lucy and Martin, Patrick, Pat Downing, nieces Kaitlyn and Rebecca, nephews Eoin and Cillian. Predeceased by his grandparents Tom and Mary, Jim and Sheila, Uncle Timmy and Aunt Mary. Sadly missed by Laura’s family, Oli and Mary O Sullivan, Andrew, Caoimhe, Aindrías, Aodhán and Adam O’ Sullivan, Sarah, James, Rían, Kacey, and Séimí Hanley, Fiona and Michael Doyle; his cousins, extended family, colleagues in An Garda Síochána, RNLI, Castletownbere GAA, and a wide circle of friends.

Reposing at Dave’s home on Thursday (29th) from 2pm - 5pm and from 6pm - 8pm. Requiem will take place at 12 midday on Friday (30th) in The Church of The Sacred Heart, Castletownbere followed by burial in St.Mary’s Cemetery in Droum. Link to view funeral mass below. Funeral cortège will leave Dave’s home at approximately 11.30am. After mass the funeral cortège will make its way to the RNLI station for a final trip around the pier and on towards Castletownbere G.A.A Club and from there to St.Mary’s Cemetery in Droum.
