David GILLESPIE

 

The death has occurred of David Gillespie, Mount Prospect, Knockvicar, Boyle, Co. Roscommon, September 22nd 2025. Peacefully, surrounded by his devoted family and in the tender care of the Palliative Care Team and Home Care.

 

Pre-deceased by his beloved wife Dorothy, son Andrew, parents Lancelot and Anna and brother Jim.

 

David will be deeply missed by his loving sons Hugh, Miles and Ian, daughters Vida and Fiona and their partners Wendy, Carol, Wendy, Craig, Rob and Margaret, grandchildren Luke, Dan, Katie, Simon, David, Laura, Robert, Craig, Matthew, Joseph, Anna and Vida, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, extended family, neighbours and his many friends.

 

Safe in the arms of Jesus

 

 

David will repose at St. Beide’s Church, Ardcarne, F52 RR97 on Wednesday evening (September 24th) from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. Funeral Service will take place on Thursday (September 25th) at 12 noon, followed by burial afterwards in adjoining cemetery.
