David Hickey

It is with great sorrow that we announce the death of David Hickey in his 84th. year on December 14th 2025, peacefully in the excellent care of St. Luke's ICU Kilkenny following an accident. His loving family were by his side and miss him dearly.

Beloved and devoted husband of Marie his wife and best friend of over 58 years, loving dad to Derek, Sineád and Enid.

Sadly missed and always remembered by his daughter-in-law Melina, his grandchild Galen, Sineád's partner Conor, his brothers Harold, Frankie, and his sisters Barbra, Lucy and Martha (deceased), cousins,relatives neighbours and friends.

You will be missed more than words can say.

Reposing at Doyle's Funeral Home, Urlingford (Eircode E41 XO38) on Friday evening December 19th from 5 o'clock until 7 o'clock. Removal on Saturday morning from his residence to St. Kieran's Church, Johnstown arriving for Requiem Mass at 11 o'clock. Interment afterwards in St. Kieran's Cemetery, Johnstown.
