Declan Carey

Upper Kilmurry, Thomastown, Kilkenny / Straffan, Kildare

Declan Carey, retired publican, Thomastown, Co Kilkenny. Formerly of Straffan, Co Kildare, and London, England.

 

Declan died peacefully, surrounded by his loving family, following a short illness bravely borne. He is predeceased by his brother Noel and sisters Helen and Claire. Sadly missed by his beloved wife Elizabeth (née Power) and his three cherished daughters Lisa, Caroline and Alice.

Declan will also be greatly missed by his sisters Louise and Christine, and his brother Romuald in addition to his many neighbours, friends and former customers at Carey's Pub.

 

The family would like to thank the wonderful staff of St Mark's Ward at the Hermitage Clinic, Dublin for their kindness and compassion when caring for Declan.

Reposing at his Home R95 FX76 from 4pm on Friday concluding with Vigil Prayers at 7.30pm. Removal on Saturday morning to the Church of the Assumption, Thomastown to arrive for 11am Requiem Mass followed by interment in St Mary's New Cemetery, Thomastown, Co Kilkenny.
