The death has occurred of
Declan (Decky) Newman
NEWMAN (Skibbereen and formerly of Glenthorn, Dublin Hill, Cork): on May 1st 2022 unexpectedly. DECLAN (Decky) loving father of Cillian and Laoise and brother of Kieran, Deirdre (Daly), June (Morley) and the late Alan. Sadly missed by his son, daughter and their mother Kay (Wright), brother, sisters, Cillian’s partner Taylor, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, relatives and a wide circle of friends, especially the Lough Hyne Lappers.
Reposing in Hurley & O’Sullivan’s Funeral Home, Skibbereen on Wednesday, May 4th 2022, from 5.30pm to 7pm followed by Prayers. Requiem Mass on Thursday, May 5th 2022, at 12 noon in St. Patrick’s Cathedral, Skibbereen. This will be livestreamed via www.skibbereenandrath.ie/webcam/ followed by Cremation at 3pm in the Island Crematorium, Ringaskiddy, Cork. This will be livestreamed via www.islandcrematorium.ie/services/

Declan’s Funeral Cortege will leave Hurley & O’Sullivan’s Funeral Home, Skibbereen on Thursday, May 5th 2022 at 11.30am proceeding via Market Street, Townshend Street, North Street and onwards to St. Patrick’s Cathedral, Skibbereen for Requiem Mass at 12 noon.
