Declan Durcan

Declan Durcan, Ballyhale, Headford, Co. Galway (formerly of Reading, England), 28th March 2026, peacefully at UHG surrounded by his loving family, after a long illness bravely borne. Declan will be deeply missed by his mother Una, brothers Tony, Chris and Des (Reading), sisters-in-law Karen and Louise, niece Emma, nephews Conor and Joseph, aunts, uncles, cousins, most especially Vincent and his wife Donna, and their daughter Katie, relatives, neighbours and friends. Declan is pre-deceased by his dad Tony.

Reposing at Carey’s Funeral Home, Claran Road, Headford (H91 E6X9) on Wednesday evening 1st April from 6pm until 8pm. Removal from his home on Thursday morning 2nd April to arrive at St. Mary’s Church, Headford, for requiem Mass at 12 noon. Burial afterwards in The New Cemetery, Kilmaine. Mass can be viewed live on www.churchtv.ie/headford or Headford Parish Facebook page. Family flowers only by request. Donations if desired to Cancer Care West.
