HEAPHY (Cork) On 23rd March 2025, peacefully, surrounded by her loving family and in the tender care of the staff of the Mercy University Hospital, DEIRDRE (DEE, nee Russell), late of Bakers Road, Gurranabraher. Dearly beloved mother of Marc and Ian, their partners Terri and Niamh, loving Nanny Dee of Dylan, Mason, Indie, Logan and Arlo, dearest sister of Christy, Kevin, Kieran, Denis, Padraig and Sylvia and beloved daughter of the late James and Mary.
Sadly missed by her heartbroken sons, family, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces and their partners, relatives, neighbours and friends especially Ka Quilligan.
Reposing at Coughlan’s Funeral Home, Shandon Street on Tuesday (25th March) from 10.00am, family in attendance at 5.00pm with Rosary at 6.00pm. Requiem Mass on Thursday (27th March) at 11.00am in the Church of the Ascension, Gurranabraher. Funeral afterwards to St. Michael’s Cemetery, Blackrock.
The family would like to acknowledge the care given to Dee from Marymount Palliative Care and the Mercy Hospital.
