The death has occurred of
Deirdre Lavin (O'Reilly)
On 23rd August 2025, peacefully at home, after a long illness, surrounded by her loving husband and son.
Deirdre, adored wife of Colm, much loved mother to Lucas. Pre-deceased by her parents John and Sheila. She will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by the Lavin, O’Reilly and Carroll families, her friends and many colleagues from DAA and DCU.
A special word of thanks to her Home Carers for the exceptional help they gave to Deirdre.

Reposing in the Seafield Chapel at the Fanagan Kirwan Funeral Home, Fairview Strand on Tuesday (26th August) from 4pm until 6pm. Funeral on Wednesday (27th August) to St. Anthony’s Church, Clontarf, arriving for 10.00am Requiem Mass. Burial afterwards in Fingal Cemetery. Family flowers only please. Donations, if desired to the Irish Motor Neurone Disease Association.
