(née O'Reilly)
Deirdre Lyons (née O’Reilly) (Dunsoghly, St. Margaret's, Co. Dublin and late of Kilskyre, Kells, Co. Meath) passed away peacefully 19th March 2026 at St. Francis Hospice, Blanchardstown surrounded by her loving family, having previously been cared for so well by all the staff of St. Monica’s Ward, Mater Hospital.
She will be sadly missed by her loving husband Peter, sons James, Peter and Andrew, daughters-in-law Sarah and Claudine, her much loved grandchildren Kate, Olivia, Molly and Hugo; Emily, Ben and Max; sisters Margaret, Jacinta, Beatrice and Mary, brothers Seán, Kieran, Ollie, Dermot, Brendan, Martin, and Charles, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, extended family neighbours and friends.
May Deirdre Rest in Peace
Reposing at St. Francis Hospice, Blanchardstown from 5pm to 7pm Friday evening. Deirdre’s Funeral Mass will take place on Saturday morning at 10am in St. Margaret’s Church, St Margaret’s, K67 HX44 followed by a cremation service at Glasnevin Crematorium Chapel.
Deirdre’s ashes will be interred in the family plot in Ballinlough, Kells County Meath at a later date.
