Thornton, Deirdre (née Quinlan, formerly Beddy) peacefully on the 11th October 2025, in her 93rd year, widow of John A. Thornton, first married to the late Donald G. Beddy. Beloved mother of David, Paul and Mark Beddy and now reunited with her daughter Maeve O’Donnell (née Beddy). Proud grandmother of Niall, Ciara, Aisling, Niamh, Aoife, Amelia and James and great-grandmother of Chloe, Juliet, Felim and Danny. She will be sadly missed by all her loving family and many friends.

Reposing on Thursday afternoon (16th October) from 3pm - 5pm at the Larry Massey Funeral Home, 341 Ballyfermot Road, D10 DT80. A service to celebrate her life will be held at Maryfield Nursing Home, Old Lucan Road, Chapelizod, D20 WC89 on Friday (17th October) at 11am followed by a private cremation service in the Victorian Chapel, Mount Jerome Crematorium, Harold’s Cross.
