Delia passed peacefully from this life, in her 98th year, surrounded by her loving family and in the exceptional care of the staff of The Corrib Ward in Galway University Hospital on Tuesday 18th February 2025.

Predeceased by her husband William (Willie), her brothers Paddy, Mike and Frank and her sister Peggy.
Delia will be deeply missed and always remembered by her son Liam, her daughters Mary (Hanniffy) and Marcella (Gillespie), her sister Mary (Croffey), her daughter-in-law Maria, sons-in-law Brendan and Jimmy, her cherished grandchildren Aishling, Janette, Niamh, Ciara, Damien, Shane and Cian, her great-grandchildren Oscar, Sophie, Leah, Elisia, Liam Óg and Riadh, her sisters-in-law Carmel and Bridie, nieces and nephews, members of the extended family, neighbours and friends.

Delia will repose at the family home on Kelly Street, Loughrea (H62 PD27) on Thursday 20th February from 5pm to 7.30pm.
(Those attending the repose are advised to park in the Barrack Street Car Park.)
Funeral cortége will arrive to St Brendan’s Cathedral, Loughrea at 12.15pm on Friday 21st February for Requiem Mass for Delia at 12.30pm.

Burial will take place after Mass in Mount Pleasant Cemetery Loughrea.
