Denis (Boss) Shanahan

Denis, peacefully, surrounded by his loving family, in the loving care of of the staff of Deerpark Nursing Home, Shronell. Pre-deceased by his wife Catherine and his daughter Mary, his brothers Paddy and David, sisters Sr. Aloysia and Eileen and son-in-law John Sheedy. Denis will be deeply missed by his son Tim, daughters Breed (Sheedy), Mairéad (Moloney), Cora (O'Brien), sisters Breed (Stapleton), Kathleen (Kinnane) and Sally (Maguire), cousin Tommy Cotter, daughter-in-law Mary, sons-in-law John, Mike and Nick, sisters-in-law Julia and Mary (Shanahan), brother-in-law John Downey, adoring grandchildren Máireád, Katie, Caitriona, Donnchadh (Perth), Donough, Kevin, Peter, Catherine, Cathal, Dermot and Denis, great-grandson Séimi and great-granddaughter Aoibhe, nephews, nieces, cousins, relatives, extended family, carers, neighbours and many friends.

Funeral cortège will leave his home on Thursday morning at 11.30am for 12 noon Funeral Mass in St Patrick's Church, Glenbrohane. Burial afterwards in Ballylanders Cemetery.
