Denis Collins

On May 11th, 2025, Denis passed away peacefully at his home, surrounded by his loving family. Much loved husband of Kathleen (née Harrington), he will be forever loved by his devoted daughters Liz, Christine, Catherine and Eileen, his loyal sisters Mary and Ann and his brother Joe, beloved son of the late John and Chrisse Collins. Sadly missed by his family, sons-in-law Pat, Noel, John and Declan, cherished grandchildren Briana, Aidan, Cara, Kyle, Grace, Alanna and Saibh, his nieces Claire, Deirdre, Maura and Elaine, his sisters-in-law Mary, Eileen and Mary, brothers-in-law George, Mike, Michael and Charlie, as well as his many friends and neighbours.

May he rest in peace.

The family are forever grateful to the West Cork Palliative Care team, the staff of Bantry General Hospital, Dr. Paul O’Sullivan and all at the Marino Medical Centre.

Reposing at his home (Eircode P75 WV66) on Monday May 12th from 5pm to 8pm with vigil prayers at 8pm. Requiem Mass on Tuesday May 13th at 12 noon at Sacred Heart Church, Durrus (to view live stream please click here) followed by burial in the adjoining New Cemetery.
