The death has occurred of
Denis (Derry) McCarthy
McCarthy (Cork) on July 29th 2024, peacefully in the presence of his loving family and in the tender loving care of the staff at Marymount University Hospital and Hospice; Denis (Derry) Fairhill Drive, Fairhill (late of St. Finbarr’s Hurling & Football Club), beloved husband of Mary and loving father of Caroline, Anne, Derek and Lisa. Sadly missed by his loving wife and family, grandchildren Jessica, Sarah, Shannon, Ciaran, Scott and Faye, sister Una, sons-in-law Padraig, Philip and Jason, nephews, nieces, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, relatives, neighbours and a large circle of friends.
Visitation at O’Connor Bros. Funeral Home, North Gate Bridge on Tuesday 30th July from 6pm-7pm with prayers at 6.45pm. Requiem Mass on Wednesday 31st July at 11am in the Church of the Resurrection, Farranree. Funeral afterwards to St. Mary’s Cemetery, Curraghkippane.
Family flowers only, donations in lieu to Marymount.
