Denis (Dinny) O'Brien
Denis (Dinny) O’Brien (Donnacha Ó Briain), late of Shankill and formerly of Dalkey, Co. Dublin, passed away peacefully on 18th December, 2020, at St. Vincent’s University Hospital, Dublin, cherished husband of Anne, beloved father of Denis, Stephen, Jennifer and Peter, adored Grandad of Tadgh, Jamie, Libby, Harry, Ellen, Mya and Darragh, fondly remembered by his son-in-law Ray, daughters-in-law Judy and Louise, brother Ned, sister Imelda, nieces, nephews, extended family, neighbours and friends.
The family wish to express their thanks to the staff, carers and nurses of Carew House, Cois Céim (Clonskeagh Hospital), Bluebird Care and St. Vincent’s University Hospital for the wonderful care they gave to Dinny.
Due to current government restrictions, a private family Funeral Mass will take place on Tuesday (22nd December) at 11.00am in St. Anne’s Church, Shankill which may be viewed online at stannesparishshankill.com. Following the Mass, the cortège will pass his home in Rathsallagh Park at approx. 12.15pm before he is laid to rest in Shanganagh Cemetery. Family flowers only please.
