Denis HOBSON

Denis Hobson, Abbeyfeale. Died 11th February 2026

Denis passed away peacefully (following an accident) in the exceptional care of the ICU staff at Cork University Hospital and in the presence of his adoring children, John and Rachel. Predeceased by his wife Merce, he was an exceptional grandfather to Anna May, Jane, David and Daniel. Beloved brother to Tom, Joan and Catherine, he will be sadly missed by his family, neighbours and a wide circle of friends.

Reposing at home in Knockbrack, Abbeyfeale from 3pm – 5pm Saturday 14th Feb (V94 HFX3). Celebration of his life will take place at Harnett’s Funeral Home (V94 AK44) Sunday 15th Feb at 11am followed by burial in Springmount Graveyard, Duagh, Co. Kerry.
