Denis Hourihan

On Sept 28th, 2025, peacefully at his home, surrounded by his family after a long illness bravely borne with courage and dignity. DENIS, ever loving husband and best friend of Cathy (Connor), beloved father of Denis, John and Katie, father-in-law to Caroline, Lynnette and Aidan, loving grandfather to Conor, Ruby, Marcus, Alexander, Donagh and Olivia, dear brother to Joe, Declan, Angela (Jones) the late Mary (Egan) and Deirdre.

Sadly missed by his loving family, nephew Sean, nieces Emer and Rebecca, brothers-in-law, sister-in-law, extended family and large circle of friends.

May Denis rest in peace.

Reposing in Coakley’s Funeral Home, Chapel Street, Bantry on Tuesday Sept. 30th from 6pm to 7.30pm with prayers at 7.30pm. Requiem Mass on Wednesday October 1st at 11am at Sacred Heart Church, Glengarriff (to view live stream click here) followed by a private cremation.

Family Flowers only, donations in lieu if desired the Friends of Bantry General Hospital.
