DENIS LUCEY

Lucey (Crosshaven) On December 12th 2025, peacefully after a long illness, surrounded by family and in the tender care of the staff at Curam Care Home, Carrigaline, Denis (Professor Emeritus U.C.C.) beloved husband of Sheila, loving father of Mary Catherine (Watson), Shivaun (Itty), Michael and Karen (Casey) and dear father-in-law of the late Ben Itty. Sadly missed by his loving family, his adored grandchildren Síofra, Denis, Rhea, Brendan, Akeela, Shane, Fleur, Mary, and Brooke, sons-in-law Richard and Kennedy, daughter-in-law Jackie, sister-in-law Maeve Pelly, brothers-in-law Martin Duffy and Niall Pelly, extended family, neighbours, former colleagues and friends.

Reposing at Fordes Funeral Home, Old Waterpark, Carrigaline on Sunday (14th) from 4:00pm until 5:00pm. Requiem Mass on Monday (15th) at 1:00pm in St. Brigid’s Church, Crosshaven which may be viewed on Link HereFuneral afterwards to St. Patrick’s Cemetery, Crosshaven.
