Denis Martin (Denny, Mattie) Murphy

Murphy, Derrinard, Ballydehob and The Laurels, Mill Rd., Skibbereen. On February 13th, 2025 in his 60th year, suddenly but peacefully, in the kind care of the staff at Bantry General Hospital. DENIS MARTIN (Denny/Mattie), predeceased by his parents Denis and Rita Murphy (née Coughlan) and sister-in-law Mary Murphy (Farren, recently deceased).

Deeply regretted by his loving family, beloved brothers Liam (Farren) and John Joe, sister Mary Vaughan (Aherla), brother-in-law Charlie, sister-in-law Margaret, nephew David, nieces Marguerite (& husband Paul), Aisling (& Partner Paul) and Margaret (& Partner Gary), his adored grandniece Heidi, his life long friends in The Laurels, Mill Rd., his Manager Fiona and all the kind and wonderful staff of The Laurels.

Requiem Mass on Monday, February 17th at 1pm in St.Brigid's Church, Ballydehob livestreamed via http://Corklivestream.com/funerals . Funeral afterwards to St.Patrick’s Cemetery, Coronea, Skibbereen.

House private please. Family flowers only, donations in lieu if desired to The Laurels, Cope, Skibbereen.

Denis Martin's family would like to thank all the wonderful staff at Bantry General Hospital, for the great care and attention Mattie received. Also special thanks to the Doctors and Staff at the Medical Centre, Skibbereen, for the care and attention given to Mattie over the years.
