Peacefully, On April 7th, at his home, surrounded by his loving family. Beloved husband of the late Nuala McInerney (Nee Cahill). Very deeply regretted by his loving daughter Denise, sons Gerard, Martin and Barry, son-in-law Gus, daughters-in-law Aine, Sharon and Michelle, grandchildren Gerard, Brendan, Barry, Kevin, Sarah, Denis, Leah, Abbie, Amber and Ben, great-grandchildren Ruari, Luke, Noah, Scott and Ashley, brothers Tony, Paddy and Donal, sisters Mary and Bridie, nephews, nieces, the extended McInerney and Cahill families, friends and neighbours.

The Funeral cortege will pass through St. Senan's Street, en route to the Cemetery, on Friday (April 10th) at approx 10.30am, for those wishing to pay their respects to Denis, while adhering to the current Covid–19 recommendations with respect to social distancing.

A private funeral will take place, due to government advice regarding public gatherings and with the agreement of the family. Those who would have liked to attend the funeral, but due to current restrictions cannot, please feel free to leave a message in the ‘condolences’ section below. Mass Cards and letters of sympathy, can be posted to Cross' Funeral Directors.

The McInerney family will hold a Memorial Mass at a later date to celebrate the life of Denis.
