Denis Owens

OWENS (Glenthorn Road, Cork):  On 30th May, 2020, (peacefully) in the loving and exceptional care of Beaumont Residential Care, DENIS, lifelong member of Glen Rovers Hurling Club, President of Saint Nick’s Football Club, Leas-Uachtaráin Coiste Chontae Chorcaí and former Fianna Fáil City Councillor.

Beloved husband of the late Maura (née Hartnett) and adored father of Máire, Deirdre, Bríd, Patricia, Siobhán, Denis and Ruaidhrí. Sadly missed by his loving family, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, sons-in-law Terry, Michael, Eamonn, Frank and Harry, daughters-in-law Majella and Valerie, sisters-in-law Bessie and Delia, nephews, nieces, relatives, neighbours and friends.

While we would love to have everyone with us at this very sad time, a private funeral for immediate family will take place in line with current Government and HSE guidelines. Denis will be laid to rest in St. Catherine’s Cemetery, Kilcully, beside his beloved wife and best friend Maura.
