The death has occurred of
Denis Shields
Shields, Denis (Dennie) (Harold's Cross, Dublin 6 and formerly of Clerys O’Connell Street) and Lusmagh, Banagher, Co. Offaly), on March 13th 2023, suddenly but peacefully in the presence of the caring staff of Orwell Healthcare Nursing Home, Rathgar. Predeceased by his brothers Tim (Lusmagh), Jim (Lawrencetown), Michael (Templeogue), and sisters Mai (Rathfarnham) and Sr. Carmen (La Sainte Union). Denis will be sadly missed by his nieces, nephews, sisters in law, cousins, grand nieces, grand nephews, Fine Gael colleagues and wide circle of friends.
Reposing at Corrigan’s Funeral Home, Camden Street, Dublin 2 (D02 DF22) on Thursday 16th March from 11am to 1pm and at his nephew’s home in Lusmagh (R42 F598) from 5pm to 8pm. Requiem mass on Friday, 17th March, at 12 noon in St. Cronan’s Church Lusmagh, followed by burial in Kilmahunna Cemetery.
Due to Covid-19 still being a threat we would ask you to observe the walk through rule attending both His reposing and His Funeral mass, Please wear a mask at all times.
