Denis WINTERS

Late of New York and Australia. Peacefully on April 7th, 2025, in the dedicated care of the staff of Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital, Drogheda.

Born on 2nd March 1930 in Boherbue to parents Garrett and Julia Winters. Beloved husband of Maura (née McGeough) and dear father of Garrett and Gerald (Maine, USA). He will be sadly missed by his sorrowing wife, sons, Garrett’s wife Linda and their children Breanna, Naomi and Adam, Gerald’s wife Pan and their child Blue. He was brother to Noreen Murphy (married to Jerry, deceased) and the late Eddie Winters (married to Joan, deceased), Jackie Winters, Mary Phipps (married to Harold, deceased) and Kathleen, who died in infancy. He was brother-in-law to Maura’s siblings Pat (married to Barbara), Kevin (married to Eileen), Tony (married to Carmel, deceased), Martin (married to Kathleen), Dermot (married to Jackie), Ann Quinn (married to Jimmy) and Brendan (deceased). He will be deeply mourned by his nephews, nieces, the extended Winters and McGeough families, neighbours and friends.

Reposing in the Eternity Room of Quinn’s Funeral Homes, Dundalk (Eircode A91 KW52, entrance on Castletown Road) on both Tuesday, April 8th and Wednesday, April 9th from 3pm-8pm. Removal on Thursday, April 10th to St. Brigid’s Church, Kilcurry (A91 RP73), arriving for Funeral Mass at 11.30am. Burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.
