Denise passed away peacefully in Portiuncula University Hospital and under the wonderful care of the staff in Sonas Nursing Home on Monday, the 22nd of December 2025, surrounded by her loving family.

Predeceased by her parents Donal and Joan, brothers Barry and Donal, sister Mary, nephews Nick Chapman and Kevin McCool and her grandniece Sophie Byrne. Lovingly remembered by her husband Declan, children Louise and Kevin, son in law Sebastian, adored grandchildren Chris and Nathan and beloved sisters Emer How (UK), Ruth Rheinhold (Ireland), Judy Vaughan (Canada), Helen Hughes (UK) and Joan McCool (Dungann), sisters-in-laws, brothers-in-laws, nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews, extended Griffin, O'Brien and Boppert family, neighbours and friends.

Denise will repose at Flynn's Funeral Home, Athlone (N37 WY17) on Saturday the 3rd of January 2026, from 4pm to 6pm. Private Removal on Sunday morning to Church of the Immaculate Conception Tubberclair, Glasson, Athlone (N37 XE38) arriving for the Funeral Mass at 11am, followed by burial in the Adjoing Cemetery.
