In Loving Memory of Denise Hartigan (née O’Neill)

March 6th, 1964 – June 22nd, 2025

With heartfelt sorrow, we announce the passing of Denise Hartigan (née O’Neill) on June 22nd, 2025, in Dun Laoghaire, Dublin, at the age of 61. Born on March 6th, 1964, in Greystones, County Wicklow, Denise lived her life as a true free spirit — authentic, curious, and deeply loving.

 

Denise had a unique gift for connecting with others. Her adventurous soul led her to travel widely, always seeking to understand and celebrate the beauty of different cultures. She lived life with openness and intention, and her vibrant energy left a lasting impression on everyone she met.

 

Denise was predeceased by her beloved parents, Vera O’Neill and Louie O’Neill. She is deeply loved and will be forever remembered by her husband John Hartigan, her children Ryan Biggs and Molly Hartigan, and her siblings Jean Harte, Deirdre Downey, and Stephen O’Neill. Denise was a devoted aunt to Gemma Harte, Christina Harte, Rebecca Connolly, Jessica Downey, Lorna Downey, Aaron O’Neill, and Lily O’Neill.

 

Reposing at Fanagans Funeral Home, The Crescent, Monkstown Sunday, June 29th, from 2:00pm to 4:00pm. Removal on Monday morning to St. Mary’s Star of the Sea Church, Sandymount, arriving for Funeral Mass at 10:00am, followed by burial in Redford Cemetery.

 

Family and friends are warmly invited to attend and celebrate Denise’s life — a life defined by love, curiosity, and a deep appreciation for the beauty of the world.

 

Her spirit lives on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
