Denise passed away peacefully on 2nd February 2026, surrounded by her loving family, in the exceptional and dedicated care of the doctors, nurses and staff of Marymount University Hospital and Hospice. Denise faced her long illness of over five and a half years with remarkable bravery, quiet strength and unwavering dignity.
Beloved and devoted wife of Charlie, treasured and adored mother of Charley and Alex, and dearly loved daughter of Eilish and the late Pascal. Much-loved sister of Seamus and Ciara.
Denise will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by her heartbroken husband, son and daughter, her mother, sister and brother, Charley’s partner Conor, sisters-in-law Aideen, Catherine, Elizabeth and Monica, brothers-in-law Donal, Tony, David, Declan, Richard and Peter, also remembering the late Frances Burke, her nephews, nieces, cousins, extended family, kind neighbours and her wide circle of friends who cherished her so dearly.
Denise will also be fondly and proudly remembered as a true pioneer and much-loved legend of women’s football with Midleton Football Club and beyond. A long-serving club secretary, child welfare officer and dedicated committee member, Denise’s impact on the club and the wider community was immense and lasting. In recognition of her unwavering commitment and passion, the girls’ academy was proudly named in her honour — “The Denise McArdle Moore Academy” — a legacy that will inspire generations to come.
The family wish to express their heartfelt an sincere gratitude to the doctors, nurses and staff of Cork University Hospital for their kindness, compassion, care and support shown to Denise and her family throughout her illness. Your help, comfort and dedication meant so much during a very difficult time.

Denise will repose at O’Farrell’s Funeral Home, Riverside Way, Midleton (P25 X382) on Thursday 5th February from 5.00pm to 7:00pm.
Reception into the Church of the Most Holy Rosary, Midleton, on Friday 6th February for 11.00am Funeral Mass, followed by a Service at The Island Crematorium at 2.00pm - for family and close friends only.
