Derek Armstrong

Died on 11th August, surrounded by his family, after a gallant fight.

Beloved husband of Margaret and much-loved by Edel, Darren, Ali and Alan, Anna, Sophie, Maria, Stephen and Yetkin. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who knew him.

He worked for many years with Eircom and was a passionate contributor to local sport. Derek coached countless young players and athletes at Huntstown Villa and Sports Club 15.

The family would also like to thank all the staff at the Mater Hospital for their support and tenderness over the last two years.

Reposing at the family home, 13 Kinvara Avenue, on Thursday, August 14th, from 5.00pm to 8.00pm. Funeral Mass on Friday, August 15th, at 10.30am in Our Lady Help of Christians Parish Catholic Church, Navan Road, Dublin 7, followed by burial.
