Predeceased by his parents Alec and Bridie (Cleere), brothers Seamus, Al and Tommy.
Sadly missed by his wife Kathleen, son David, daughters Lynn, Dara and Laura, daughter-in-law Áine, son-in-law Alex, grandchildren Clodagh, Hazel, Grace and Sadie, sister Belinda, brother Michael, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, extended family, relatives, neighbours, and friends.

Reposing in Thompson's Funeral Home, Barrack Street on Monday (13th January) from 7.00 pm to 8:30 pm with vigil prayers and rosary at 8:00 pm.
Derek’s funeral cortege will walk from Thompson's Funeral Home Barrack Street on Tuesday (14th January) to Ballybricken Church for Requiem Mass on arrival at 01:30 pm followed by burial in the Holy Cross Church Cemetery, Tramore, Co. Waterford.
