The death has occurred of
Derek Hickey
Derek Hickey (Knocklyon, Dublin 16) 13th October 2025. Peacefully, in the care of the wonderful doctors and nurses in Our Lady’s Hospice, following a short illness surrounded by his loving family. Reunited in heaven with his brother Alan. Adored dad to Michael, beloved son of Gerard and Margaret and cherished brother of Gavin and Ciarán. Derek will be deeply missed and forever remembered by his sisters-in-law Maxine and Lisa, nephews and nieces, Lachlan, Elliot, Zoey and Alannah, aunts and uncles, cousins, extended family and friends.
Rest in Peace
Reposing at Fanagans Funeral Home, Rathfarnham D14W029, on Thursday 16th from 5:30pm to 7:30pm. Removal on Friday morning to the Church of St. Colmcille, Knocklyon for Funeral Mass at 11am followed by private burial in Kilmashogue Cemetery.
Family flowers only please, donations if desired to Our Lady’s Hospice.
