Derek Mannion

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Derek Mannion, Ardmullen, Kiltoom, Athlone, Co. Roscommon, peacefully on Friday, Jan 3rd, 2025, surrounded by his loving family, at the Hermitage Clinic, Dublin, after a long illness bravely borne, age 52 years.

 

Derek will be remembered for his warmth kindness and generosity of spirit.

He will be forever loved and sadly missed by his heartbroken parents Joe and Nell, sister Olivia, nieces Ellen and Alannah, nephew Rian, brother-in-law Simon, extended family of aunts, uncles, cousins with whom he was incredibly close, colleagues in Lucan Educate Together School and his many good friends.

Derek will repose at St Brigid's Funeral Home Brideswell (N37 EK88) on Sunday evening (Jan 5th) from 4.00 o'c with removal at 6.30 o'c to The Church of the Risen Christ, Kiltoom (N37 NY36) arriving at 7.30 o'c. Mass of the Resurrection on Monday morning (Jan 6th) at 11.30 o'c with burial afterwards in Kiltoom Cemetery.
